I am selling my rare Cadillac Landaulet Coupe. It has been in my ownership for 7 years. Worldwide, probably only 3 vehicles have survived out of approx. 50 originally built. My vehicle was extensively restored in the USA, however the work could not be completed by the previous owner. It is a vehicle from the model year 1914 and has a powerful 4 cylinder engine with 6 litres capacity and a rear axle with a double differential. This was only available in 1914. The body is made by the coachbuilder Fischer and shows the beautiful tulip shape. The rear part of the coupe roof can be opened in a few easy steps.
The Cadillac Landaulet Coupe left the factory in Detroit, Michigan on 24.12.1913. The car was delivered in 1914 to John H. and Mary Phillips in Jackson, Michigan. The family had 10 children and also owned a seven-seat Cadillac limousine. The car was used by Mrs. Phillips. After her death, the car was taken over by her daughter Nina Lake and her husband Ford of Dowagiac, Michigan, in June 1922. The car was driven regularly until Ford's death in 1951. After that, Nina rarely used the car and finally put it in a barn. In 1982, after Nina's death, Robert Hustalk discovered the car. He brought the car to the REO Museum in Lansing, Michigan. In 1986, it was sold to Dr. Elroy Kidle, a dentist from Saranac, Michigan.
Over the next few decades, the car underwent a very extensive restoration. It was completely disassembled, the chassis with all attachments was restored, the 4 cylinder engine was restored by Cadillac expert, George Kaforski, much of the woodwork was redone, the body was completely repaired and parts of the interior and wiring were restored. According to his own statement, Mr. Kidle invested more than US$ 100,000 in the restoration. This can be checked out on the internet:

Due to health and age reasons, the American owner has not been able to finish the restoration. The car has been driven, but the interior still needs to be finished and the car needs to be painted. The original components of the interior (bufferd leather panels, window blinds and many other parts) are completely present and can be used.
After the death of Dr. Kidle, the vehicle was acquired by me in September 2016. The vehicle has since been displayed in my private collection. All mechanical parts, including the engine, are moved regularly to avoid standing damage.
I would like to part with the rare Cadillac Landaulet Coupe as I would like to look more into early London-Brighton cars. As this is one of the rarest American cars of the marque, the restoration should be completed and the car used regularly.

The car is currently located in Germany near the Dutch border. From my point of view it would be nice if the car would find its way back to its home country. I have experience in importing and exporting vehicles and would be happy to assist. A delivery to e.g. the port of Rotterdam is easily possible. The original American title is available.
My expected price is only 45000 EUR (49.000 US$). The vehicle has US title and is duty paid in Europe. I am happy to help with shipping to the USA or Canada.

Ich verkaufe mein seltenes Cadillac Landaulet Coupe. Es befindet sich seit 7 Jahren in meinem Besitz. Weltweit haben von ursprünglich etwa 50 gebauten Fahrzeugen vermutlich nur noch drei Exemplare überlebt. Mein Fahrzeug wurde in den USA aufwendig restauriert, allerdings konnte die Arbeit vom Vorbesitzer nicht vollständig abgeschlossen werden. Es handelt sich um ein Fahrzeug des Modelljahres 1914 mit einem kraftvollen 4-Zylinder-Motor mit 6 Litern Hubraum sowie einer Hinterachse mit Doppeldifferenzial – eine Ausführung, die es nur 1914 gab. Die Karosserie stammt vom Karosseriebauer Fischer und zeigt die schöne Tulpenform. Das hintere Teil des Coupé-Dachs lässt sich mit wenigen Handgriffen öffnen.
Das Cadillac Landaulet Coupe verließ am 24.12.1913 das Werk in Detroit, Michigan. Es wurde 1914 an John H. und Mary Phillips in Jackson, Michigan, ausgeliefert. Die Familie hatte zehn Kinder und besaß zudem eine siebensitzige Cadillac-Limousine. Das Fahrzeug wurde von Mrs. Phillips genutzt. Nach ihrem Tod übernahm ihre Tochter Nina Lake gemeinsam mit ihrem Ehemann Ford aus Dowagiac, Michigan, im Juni 1922 das Fahrzeug. Es wurde regelmäßig genutzt, bis Ford 1951 verstarb. Danach wurde der Wagen nur noch selten von Nina gefahren und schließlich in einer Scheune abgestellt. 1982, nach Ninas Tod, wurde das Auto von Robert Hustalk entdeckt, der es in das REO-Museum nach Lansing, Michigan brachte. 1986 wurde es an Dr. Elroy Kidle, einen Zahnarzt aus Saranac, Michigan, verkauft.
In den darauffolgenden Jahrzehnten wurde das Fahrzeug einer sehr aufwendigen Restauration unterzogen. Es wurde vollständig zerlegt, das Chassis samt aller Anbauteile restauriert, der 4-Zylinder-Motor vom Cadillac-Experten George Kaforski überholt, große Teile der Holzkonstruktion erneuert, die Karosserie umfassend instandgesetzt sowie Teile der Innenausstattung und Elektrik überarbeitet. Laut eigenen Angaben investierte Dr. Kidle über 100.000 US-Dollar in die Restauration. Dies lässt sich im Internet nachvollziehen:

Aus Alters- und Gesundheitsgründen konnte der amerikanische Besitzer die Restauration jedoch nicht vollenden. Das Auto wurde bereits gefahren, jedoch muss die Innenausstattung noch fertiggestellt und das Fahrzeug lackiert werden. Die originalen Teile der Innenausstattung (gepolsterte Lederverkleidungen, Fensterrollos und viele weitere Komponenten) sind vollständig vorhanden und können wiederverwendet werden.
Nach dem Tod von Dr. Kidle habe ich das Fahrzeug im September 2016 erworben. Seitdem wird es in meiner privaten Sammlung ausgestellt. Alle mechanischen Komponenten, einschließlich des Motors, werden regelmäßig bewegt, um Standschäden zu vermeiden.
Ich möchte mich nun von dem seltenen Cadillac Landaulet Coupe trennen, da ich mich künftig mehr mit frühen London-Brighton-Fahrzeugen beschäftigen möchte. Da es sich um eines der seltensten US-Fahrzeuge seiner Art handelt, sollte die Restauration vollendet und das Fahrzeug regelmäßig genutzt werden.

Darüber hinaus existieren Hunderte weiterer Bilder und Dokumente sowie zwei vollständige Schlüsselsätze (Zündung, Türen und Kofferraum), die zum Angebot gehören.
Das Fahrzeug befindet sich derzeit in Deutschland, nahe der niederländischen Grenze. Aus meiner Sicht wäre es schön, wenn der Wagen in sein Ursprungsland zurückkehren würde. Ich habe Erfahrung mit dem Import und Export von Fahrzeugen und bin gerne behilflich. Eine Lieferung z. B. zum Hafen Rotterdam ist problemlos möglich. Der originale amerikanische Title ist vorhanden.
Mein Preisvorstellung beträgt lediglich 45.000 EUR (49.000 US$). Das Fahrzeug besitzt einen US-Title und ist in Europa verzollt. Gerne helfe ich beim Versand in die USA oder nach Kanada.
