The modern generation of the venerable Geländewagen/G-Class/G-Wagen has stood the test of time, boasting an impressive 45 years of uninterrupted production. The G500 4×4² is equipped with a new 4.0 V8 engine, sharing technology with the AMG V8 found in the AMG GT and C63 AMG. The ‘hot inside V’ design with two internal turbochargers makes the engine compact and efficient. Key features include portal axles, similar to those found on the G63 6×6, but with one less axle. To optimize the driving experience, the suspension has been enhanced with two springs and damper struts per wheel, inspired by rally sports.
