NSU RO80

Prima Serie

Straordinaria RO 80 Prima Serie, unico proprietario fino al 1974 quando fu riposta in un garage riscaldato ed in seguito radiata d`ufficio.
La vettura aveva in origine targhe Verona che sono tuttora presenti ed in perfette condizioni.

Acquistata nel 2017 da noto collezionista, la vettura fu portata da uno specialista di Graz, in Austria, che procedette con il restauro completo del motore rotante, con l`adozione di segmanti ceramici e di tutti gli altri accorgimenti sviluppati negli anni per rendere questo motore finalmente affidabile e longevo.

La spesa sostenuta per la sola parte di restauro meccanico e ricambi, tutta documentata, è stata in eccesso di 14.500 Euro; oltre al motore sono stati installati un nuovo servofreno, nuovi semiassi, accensione della Seconda Serie, nuovo radiatore, manicotti, dischi freno, pastiglie e tubi freno.

La vettura oggi si presenta e si guida come fosse nuova.
Ha preso parte alle due ultime edizioni dell` Eggental Classic in Austria.

Omologazione ASI targa oro e le targhe originali Verona, ancora come nuove, sono disponibili e presto potranno essere riadottate sulla vettura, secondo le recenti normative ministeriali.

Questa RO 80 in condizioni eccezionali è una vettura destinata al collezionista esigente che conosce ed ama questo modello in particolare.

La vettura ha percorso in tutta la sua vita 19.700 Km.

Al suo lancio nel 1967 la RO 80 scosse il mondo dell`auto per le innovazioni che adottava: non solo il bi-rotore, ma anche la trazione anteriore accoppiata a freni a disco interni, cambio semi automatico con frizione attuata dalla leva del cambio, freni e stabilità eccezionali ed una linea che ancora oggi è perfettamente attuale.

Outstanding Series One 1968 RO 80 of single ownership until 1974, when it was taken off the road and stored in a heated garage until the year 2017.

At the time the car had a mere 16.900 Km done in all on its original, double spark plug per rotor engine.

Purchased in 2017 by a well known collector the car was sent to a NSU RO 80 specialist in Graz, Austria, who proceeded to rebuild the engine using the latest ceramic seals and all modern techniques meant to make this a long lasting and reliable power unit.

Total expenses just concerning the mechanical overhaul and parts, all documented, are in excess of 14,500 Euro; in addition to the works done to the powerplant, the car has been fitted with a new brake servo, new half shafts, ignition system of the Series Two, new radiator and hoses, new brake disks, pads and brake hoses.

By looking at the floors of the car from the pics taken on the lift, or at the images showing underneath the dashboard one can see the original, mint condition of this RO 80.

It looks and works like a new car, and has participated to two Eggental Classic editions in Austria.
The car has been driven 19.700 IKm in all its life.

This car is in mint condition and should go to a discerning collector who knows, loves and appreciates the RO 80, a car that when launched in 1967 stirred the automotive world and even today, over half a century later, still offers an amazing driving experience coupled with thoroughly modern looks and stance.
