Opis pojazdu
“A Triumph of the SCCA”
Kas Kastner inspired Triumph TR6
Frequent Triumph Competition winner
Eligible for many other races
German road documents
Starting production in 1968 the Triumph TR6 with its proven 2.5 liter straight 6 but a new wider and more muscular body was an enormous hit in the United States. Over 90% of the cars produced were exported over its 8-year run. This period coincided with the absolute height Of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) Racing series and as such it was only a matter of time before someone decided to campaign Triumph’s newest. Ironically, the first TR6 to hit the racetrack in 1968 was not a TR6 at all, but a TR250 rebodied by the American Triumph wizard, Kas Kastner. Kastner’s reputation was legendary, producing Triumph cars and racing engines that no one else could touch, in the SCCA or abroad. Triumph factory racing included.
Proudly wearing it’s Kas Kastner livery, this 1972 TR6 has been professionally built in 2016 and won the Triumph Competition championship in 2021. Developed to the maximum, this TR6 can be raced on the sharp end of the YTCC or make a front running return to the Triumph Competition & British HTGT championship. The car is also eligible for many other international races.
